Community Dog Walk

Saturday, October 3, 2026 (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM) (EDT)

Description

Comer Vet is teaming up with our friends at Watson Mill Bridge State Park to commemorate National Walk Your Dog Week!

Meet the Comer crew at 9:30 at the Beaver Creek Trail parking lot for a one-hour guided dog walk through the trails, led by park naturalist Cole. We'll reconvene afterward for hydration and dog treats provided by Comer Vet!

This event is free to attend and open to the public. There is a $10 per vehicle parking fee at the state park.

Things to bring ...

  • Dogs aren't required to walk with us, but if your pup will be joining you, please bring an appropriate six-foot leash and, if necessary, muzzle and/or harness!
  • Water bottles to take on the hike
  • Hiking boots or shoes
  • Your camera — there will be plenty of beautiful fall photo ops! Please note that there will be multiple dogs and children at this event!

If your dog is reactive or aggressive to other pets or people, it may be best for them to stay home and let you come in their stead. Folks are reminded to ask pet parents before petting any dogs that attend the hike.
