November Business of the Month: Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment Co
November Business of the Month: Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment Co
Congratulations to Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment for earning the November Business of the Month!
Nominations are accepted from the community and membership each month, and the Chamber's Membership Development Committee selects the recipient based on that feedback. Due to the high volume of nominations this month and the fact that the largest bulk of our membership is based in the "Agriculture, Fishing, & Forestry" category (40 out of 250 members), this month's and next month's recipient will both be from this membership category.
Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment is owned and operated by Mr. Lee Brown and his family. They are a fencing and farm supply store that has served the Madison County area for 25 years. They are known for their quality work and fair pricing for all farming & ranching needs. Located at 752 E 5th Ave in Colbert, Southland Power Fence is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The Chamber is thankful for Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment's multiple contributions to our community, both past and present. Alongside their contributions to the Chamber's Agricultural Promotions Committee, Southland also partners with the Chamber on the MADICO MADE program through Four Star Meats, hosts Work-Based Learning students, participates in job shadowing days, and supports countless other student organizations.
Lee also makes leadership contributions to the agriculture industry at the state level, as he is a past president of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association. Being a Madison County High School graduate, we are thrilled that Lee is positively impacting his home community, and the state, in these ways.
Congratulations to Southland Power Fence, Feed & Equipment Co. on this well-deserved honor. We wish you many more years of continued success!
