Description
Friends of Advantage invites the community to participate in the Health Meets Hope 5K Run/Walk & Family Fun Day, a family-friendly event dedicated to promoting wellness, connection, and support for individuals served by Advantage Behavioral Health Systems.
Friends of Advantage (FOA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that works in partnership with Advantage Behavioral Health Systems to enhance the lives of individuals facing mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use recovery, and homelessness. FOA helps bridge critical funding gaps to support needs not covered by insurance, government programs, or families, serving a ten-county region including Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Walton counties.
Participants are invited to enjoy a morning of health, hope, and community engagement featuring a 5K run/walk and family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, and drinks. Guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy the full event experience.
Race registration begins at 8:30 AM, with the 5K starting at 9:15 AM. Participants may complete the 5K by running or walking 12.5 laps on the track or by taking a scenic route through the school campus and surrounding neighborhood.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the Madison County High School Track & Field, located at 600 Madison Street, Danielsville, GA 30633.
