The Ranch at Spirit Ridge Receives $22,362.67 as Georgia VFW Auxiliary President's Special Project

COLBERT, GA – The Ranch at Spirit Ridge Farm is honored and deeply grateful to announce the receipt of $22,362.67 through its selection as the Georgia VFW Auxiliary State President's Special Project for the 2025–2026 year.

The generous donation is the culmination of a year-long fundraising effort by VFW Auxiliary members across the State of Georgia under the leadership of State President Katie Stanley. Through countless fundraisers, community events, and individual donations, Auxiliary members came together with a shared purpose—to support healing, hope, and resilience for Veterans, First Responders, and trauma survivors.

Located in Colbert, Georgia, The Ranch at Spirit Ridge provides equine-assisted programs designed to help Veterans, First Responders, and others impacted by trauma reconnect with themselves and discover new paths toward healing. Through the unique partnership between people and horses, participants develop leadership skills, emotional awareness, communication, trust, and resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

Unlike traditional horseback riding programs, equine-assisted learning at The Ranch is conducted from the ground, allowing participants of all ages and abilities to experience the powerful lessons horses naturally teach. These programs have transformed lives by helping participants overcome anxiety, rebuild relationships, increase self-confidence, and develop practical life skills.

Throughout the year, VFW Auxiliary members visited the Ranch, learned about its mission, and witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact the programs have on participants. Their support has created lasting partnerships that extend well beyond the fundraising campaign.

The funds will help support the Ranch's equine-assisted learning programs, horse care, facility improvements, and educational opportunities, ensuring that services remain available to those who need them most.
