The Madison County Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Dr. Jody Goodroe, Superintendent of the Madison County School System and Chamber Board Member, on his recent completion of the Georgia Superintendents' Workforce Leadership Academy.

Dr. Goodroe was one of just sixteen superintendents from across Georgia selected to participate in this distinguished program, a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen the connection between education and workforce development. Throughout the academy, participants explored innovative strategies for preparing students for successful careers while strengthening their local economies.

At the Madison County Chamber, we firmly believe that a strong workforce begins long before graduation. Through our continued partnership with the Madison County School System, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities that connect students with local businesses, industry leaders, and career pathways that exist right here in our community.

Dr. Goodroe's leadership continues to reinforce that shared vision. His commitment to preparing students extends well beyond academics by emphasizing the essential workplace skills employers consistently identify as critical to long-term success. These foundational skills, including accountability, communication, problem-solving, time management, and professionalism, help ensure students are equipped not only for college or technical education but for meaningful careers that strengthen Madison County's workforce. As a Chamber Board Member and Co-Chair of our Workforce Development & Education Committee, Dr. Goodroe has been an invaluable partner in advancing initiatives that bring education and business together. His leadership has helped strengthen programs such as workforce development partnerships, career exploration opportunities, student leadership initiatives, and job shadowing experiences that benefit both students and local employers.

We congratulate Dr. Goodroe on this outstanding accomplishment and are grateful for his continued investment in Madison County's students, workforce, and business community.
