Monday, November 10, 2025 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (EST)
Description
The Madison County Chamber’s Agricultural Promotions Committee, in partnership with Madison County Young Farmers, is proud to host “Planting the Future: The Power of Internships in Agriculture” on November 10th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at Madison County High School's Culinary Arts room.
This interactive panel discussion will explore the value and long-term benefits of incorporating interns into local farming operations. With agriculture at the heart of our local economy, this workshop aims to encourage farms of all sizes to invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders by creating hands-on learning opportunities.
Panelists will include two experienced local farmers who currently mentor interns, alongside one high school and one college student who will share their firsthand experiences as young people entering the industry. Together, they’ll offer insight into how internships build essential skills, strengthen community ties, and ensure the continued success of agriculture in Madison County. Whether you’re a seasoned farmer, a student exploring ag pathways, or a community member passionate about agricultural education, this workshop will provide inspiration and practical ideas to help shape the future of farming in our region.
Please be sure to register so we are able to maintain an accurate headcount and bring $10 cash to purchase dinner.
