Georgia Options' mission is to support adults with developmental disabilities in living in their own homes and having typical life experiences.

Job Description:

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, fun, and open to new experiences. We have part-time positions available in the Athens area. No prior experience is necessary as all training will be provided. We require all candidates to be able to pass a drug test and background check and have a positive attitude. The pay for this position is $12 to $13 per hour.

As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include providing support, guidance, and coaching to help adults with developmental disabilities make friends and establish community relationships. You will also assist with personal care and health-related activities and help individuals work through difficult emotions and behaviors to communicate their needs and wants effectively. This role is about helping individuals live their best lives.

Qualifications: - Basic caregiving skills - Willingness to learn and adapt - Ability to work with individuals with diverse needs - Comfortable with assisting in daily living activities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Compassionate and patient demeanor - Willingness to undergo training as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
