Madison County Chamber of Commerce Co-Host STAR Student Breakfast with Madison County Rotary Club

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Madison County, proudly celebrated academic excellence during the annual STAR Student Breakfast, held this past Friday morning. The event honored the 2026 Madison County High School STAR Student and STAR Teacher and highlighted the strong collaboration between local education and community leadership.

Congratulations to Caleb Baker, named the 2026 MCHS STAR Student, and to Bradley Shadrix, selected as the 2026 STAR Teacher. This recognition reflects outstanding academic achievement and the lasting impact educators have on student success.

The Chamber is pleased to partner with the Rotary Club of Madison County to celebrate the accomplishments of our local school system and recognize these exceptional individuals. The STAR Student Breakfast is made possible through the generous support of the Chamber’s Diamond and Platinum members, and breakfast for the event was provided by Ila Restaurant

The PAGE Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program, now in its eighth year, is sponsored, administered, and promoted by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the PAGE Foundation. Since its creation, the program has honored nearly 29,500 students across Georgia and the teachers they identify as having had the greatest influence on their academic achievement. To qualify for STAR recognition, graduating seniors must have the highest SAT score from a single test date and rank in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average. STAR Students select a STAR Teacher to share in this honor, and both advance through school system, region, and state-level recognition.

The program featured remarks from community and education leaders, including a welcome and sponsor recognition by Jill Parham, President and CEO of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, STAR recognition remarks by Dr. Jody Goodroe, Superintendent of Madison County Charter School System, STAR Student and Teacher recognition by Dr. Christy Epps, Principal of Madison County High School, and closing remarks by Jill Parham.

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Madison County remain committed to celebrating excellence in education and supporting the future leaders of our community.
