Ila Garden Club Receives The T.C.B. Taking Care of Business Award for Quarter Three
The Madison County Chamber of Commerce passionately strives to develop a pro-business climate that serves as the catalyst for economic and community development that complements our agricultural roots in Madison County, GA.
The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee presents the T.C.B. "Taking Care of Business" Award to government agencies or business support organizations that are taking care of local businesses through business friendly protocols and practices. The committee received nominations from the community and membership. Chamber membership ultimately voted for Ila Garden Club to be the recipient of this quarterly award for the following reasons:
- Ongoing downtown beautification and shop local efforts included but not limited to:
- Installation and maintenance of flower planters to promote branding and sense of place in downtown Ila.
- Participation and promotion of the Chamber's annual Spring Ladies Night Out event.
- Annual collaboration with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, and our members, to host scarecrows in Ila for the annual Scarecrows in the Cities event.
- Collaborating with local merchants to facilitate major community events, such as the annual Christmas in Ila event, that draws thousands of tourists locally and regionally to Madison County.
- Working with the Chamber to leverage state resources that support downtown visioning and street scaping.
